Mantle played his entire Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the New York Yankees as a center fielder and first baseman, from 1951 through 1968. Mantle was one of the best players and sluggers, and is regarded by many as the greatest switch hitter in baseball history.

Edwin Donald "Duke" Snider was an American professional baseball player. Usually assigned to center field, he spent most of his Major League Baseball (MLB) career playing for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers (1947–62), later playing one season each for the New York Mets (1963) and San Francisco Giants (1964). He was named to the National League (NL) All-Star roster eight-times and was the NL Most Valuable Player (MVP) runner-up in 1955.

Willie Howard Mays, Jr., nicknamed "The Say Hey Kid", was an American former Major League Baseball center fielder who spent almost all of his 22-season career playing for the New York and San Francisco Giants, before finishing with the New York Mets.
