This original type III news service photograph of former gangster Al Capone was taken on the date of May 4, 1932. This photograph is said to be the first released photo of Al Capone from prison. On the bottom there is written information by the Department of Justice Bureau of Investigation for filing purposes. Some creasing and small tear to the upper left side of the photo. Displays nice.

Alphonse Gabriel "Al" Capone was an American gangster who attained fame during the Prohibition era as the co-founder and boss of the Chicago Outfit. His seven-year reign as crime boss ended when he was 33 years old.
