The Three Stooges were an American vaudeville and comedy team active from the late 1920's until the late 1960's, best known for their 190 Columbia short subject films that are still syndicated n TV. Their hallmark was physical farce and slapstick. In films, the Stooges were commonly known by the first names of "Moe, Larry, and Curly".
