Original 1968 UK full-size "Two Virgins" album cover, boldly signed in black ballpoint by John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Yoko adds "Love & Peace" with a hand-drawn line pointing to her image. A notoriously controversial and groundbreaking release, "Two Virgins" marked Lennon and Ono's first avant-garde collaboration. Includes a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett & from Beatles expert Perry Cox.

Consignor notes that this piece was signed at the Claude Gill bookshop in London, England on July 16, 1971, during an in-store promotional signing for Yoko Ono's book "Grapefruit". Signs were posted that the famous couple were only signing copies of that book, but when John Lennon saw this Two Virgins album he asked the consignor if he wanted it signed, & before he could finish thanking Lennon, he passed it to Ono who also signed it. The store manager requested that he immediately return the X-rated album back to the bag he brought it in, & announced to the crowd once again that the couple would only be signing books, making this copy so extremely rare that it is the only one signed by both John Lennon and Yoko Ono that we have ever represented or even seen.
