Exceptional handwritten letter from Lou Gehrig, dated 1936, penned in response to a fan named Lauren. Written on his personal letterhead and signed in bold ink, the signature has been graded Mint 9 by PSA. This letter was written during Spring Training of what would be his 1936 A.L. MVP season. The original mailing envelope, also in Gehrig’s hand, is PSA encapsulated. Both items are accompanied by PSA/DNA Letters of Authenticity. Gehrig, known as the “Iron Horse,” was a legendary New York Yankee whose power, humility, and endurance made him one of baseball’s most cherished figures.
